This was my first painful attempt at digital illustration started a long time ago. I've given up on it and revised it numerous times and finally got around to finishing it.

It's all hand drawn in photoshop including the stars (never again). I was trying to create something in-between cartoon and realism. I think I can say I'm happy with how it turned out, but I need to give it some time

The mushrooms look so...mushy! And the plants so planty! And everything so beautiful altogether! *gets crazy*
Although the old buddy must have a hard time sitting in all that moist moss...well, he seems like a wise old (herb-smoking??) monk, so maybe he meditates on that.
